GARBY, Mrs Lee Hawkins
(1890-?)
The wife of a school-friend of E.E. "Doc" SMITH, with whom she collaborated on The Skylark of Space: The Tale of the First Inter-Stellar Cruise (written 1915-20; 1928 AMZ; 1946; cut rev 1958), for which she wascredited. The 1958 abridgement of this famous SPACE OPERA may have eliminated most and perhaps all of her contribution, as she was no longer listed as co-author.
