GAMMA
US DIGEST-size magazine. 5 issues 1963-5, published by Star Press, N. Hollywood; ed William F. NOLAN for 3 issues, then Jack Matcha and Charles E. FRITCH. The fiction in this magazine - a blend of sf and fantasy - was of good quality, many stories being by Californian writers with film connections, like Charles BEAUMONT and Richard MATHESON, and there were some fine covers by Morris Scott Dollens and John Healey. Its irregularity of publication sped its demise.
