Pseudonym used by illustrator and writer Dorothy M. Craigie (1908-) on her books for young adults. As Dorothy Craigie, she wrote numerous stories for younger children, from Summersalts Circus (1947) to Nicky and Nigger Join the Circus (1960); also as Dorothy Craigie she illustrated children's books, including Graham Greene's four in the genre.As DC, she wrote two sf novels with young protagonists. In The Voyage of the Luna 1 (1948), which she illustrated under her real name, the two children of famous explorers more or less hijack a Moon-bound rocket and encounter various strange species there. Dark Atlantis (1951) takes its protagonist three miles down to an ATLANTIS inhabited by intelligent reptiles.
